Storytelling
I enjoy editing, but my first love was creative writing. I’m always ruminating on a story, puzzling out the details.
I graduated with honors in creative writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, attended Kenyon College’s writing workshop in the summer of 2013, and received a Dean’s Fellowship along with an MFA in fiction writing at Emerson College.
Lately, I’ve been wrapping up a short story and planning out my first novel.

Writing Coach – In 2012 and 2013, I was an inaugural counselor and writing coach for CampWrite UNC, a free, two-week creative writing summer camp for middle and high school students. I helped craft curriculum, led workshops, and encouraged young writers to pursue their craft.
Writing Juror – From 2018 to 2022, I served as a writing juror for the Massachusetts Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, the nation's longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. I read 20-30 submissions across multiple categories (poetry, short stories, flash fiction, essays, etc.) and ranked the work according to effort and skill.
